Set limits before the first bet
- Choose a fixed entertainment budget after rent, food, bills, savings and debt payments are covered.
- Set a session end time and use an alarm; do not extend it because you are winning or losing.
- Decide the maximum deposit and loss you will accept for the day or week.
- Never borrow, use bill money or sell belongings to fund gambling.
- Do not gamble while intoxicated, distressed, angry, exhausted or trying to escape a problem.
- Check your transaction and betting history instead of relying on memory.
Understand what the games can and cannot do
Slots, fishing games, live casino tables and sports betting all involve risk. A previous loss does not make the next spin, shot, hand or bet more likely to win. Promotions add conditions and play value; they do not remove risk or guarantee a withdrawal.
Treat every deposit as money you could lose. Stop when you reach your limit rather than increasing the stake to chase a result.
Warning signs of gambling harm
- You spend more money or time than planned and hide it from people close to you.
- You chase losses, increase stakes or deposit again to recover the same session.
- You borrow money, miss bills or use funds needed for food, school, rent or healthcare.
- You feel anxious, angry or unable to sleep when you cannot gamble.
- Work, study, relationships or health are being affected.
- You have tried to stop but quickly returned or opened another account.
What to do when gambling stops being fun
- Stop depositing and leave the game or betting screen.
- Tell a trusted person what is happening and ask them to help protect money and payment access.
- Contact official JL3 support and clearly request a timeout, account restriction or closure. Ask what responsible-gaming controls are available for your account.
- Remove the JL3 app, disable gambling notifications and block gambling transactions where your bank or e-wallet offers that control.
- Contact the National Problem Gambling Helpline or a recovery support group rather than trying to recover losses.
- Keep records of restriction or exclusion requests and follow up if access remains available.
PAGCOR exclusion options
PAGCOR publishes self-exclusion and family-exclusion procedures for people who feel they or a close relative are developing a gambling problem. Published self-exclusion periods include 6 months, 1 year and 5 years; the first six months are described as irrevocable.
PAGCOR states that an exclusion order is enforced across sites and facilities it operates or regulates. Confirm current eligibility, documents and coverage directly with PAGCOR; this page does not determine whether a particular operator is covered.
Confidential help in the Philippines
You do not need to wait for a financial crisis before asking for help. These services are separate from JL3 and can support players, family members and loved ones affected by gambling.
- National Problem Gambling Helpline: (02) 8248-9568, available 24/7 for confidential guidance, counseling support and referrals.
- Gamblers Anonymous Philippines: +63 915 938 2808 and talktous@gaphilippines.com for peer-support meetings and recovery fellowship.
- NCMH Crisis Hotline: dial 1553 or 1800-1888-1553 if gambling is connected to an immediate mental-health crisis.
Protect children and shared devices
JL3 gambling services are for adults aged 18 or over. Do not allow a minor to register, deposit, bet or use your account. Log out on shared devices, protect saved payment methods, use a screen lock and enable parental controls where needed.
Helping someone close to you
Choose a calm time, describe the behaviour you have observed and avoid lending money to cover gambling losses. Encourage the person to contact professional or peer support and protect shared finances while help is arranged.
Family members can also call the National Problem Gambling Helpline. PAGCOR publishes a family-exclusion process for eligible close relatives; confirm the current requirements directly with PAGCOR.
